Copyright & DMCA Policy
KurdTube respects the intellectual property rights of individuals and organisations, and is committed to responding promptly to copyright complaints. This document explains how to submit a complaint, how we investigate it, and what rights users have to respond.
1. General Principle
Uploading content that infringes another person's copyright, without the written permission of the rights holder, is prohibited. This includes films, songs, music, written text, images, and software.
KurdTube removes infringing content upon receipt of a valid complaint, and cooperates with rights holders in protecting their work.
2. Filing a Copyright Complaint
If you believe content on KurdTube infringes your copyright, send an email to [email protected] containing:
- A precise identification of the copyrighted work you own
- The URL of the content on KurdTube you are asking us to remove
- Your contact details: full name, email address, and telephone number
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised
- A statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are the rights holder or their authorised agent
- Your signature, electronic or physical
Note: Submitting a false or bad-faith complaint carries legal liability. Please confirm your ownership of the rights before submitting.
3. Our Process
On receipt of a complete complaint, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours
- Temporarily remove or hide the disputed content
- Notify the user who uploaded it and provide a copy of the complaint
- Give them an opportunity to respond before a final decision
4. Counter-Notice
If a user believes their content was removed in error — for example because they own the rights, hold a licence, or the use qualifies as fair use — they may submit a counter-notice to the same address, including:
- Identification of the removed content and where it previously appeared
- A statement that they believe in good faith the removal was a mistake
- Their name, address, email, and telephone number
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts
On receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will inform the complainant and may restore the content, unless the complainant provides evidence that legal proceedings have been commenced.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
KurdTube operates a strike system for copyright infringement:
- First strike — content removed and written warning issued
- Second strike — upload privileges suspended for 14 days
- Third strike — permanent account termination
Strikes expire after six months, provided no further infringement occurs in that period.
6. Withholding of Earnings
Where paid content — a course, for example — is found to be infringing, KurdTube will withhold the associated earnings and refund the purchasers.
7. Contact
All copyright complaints and counter-notices must be sent to:
[email protected]
